A cute food idea for an Under The Sea party theme is to use blue food coloring to tint cream cheese. Spread it on a bagel that is cut in fourths and top it with a goldfish cracker for added fun. Noone can deny that the Under the Sea IMAX documentaries are one of those rare beauties that are simultaneously educational and extremely gripping. The breathtaking images of the coral reefs, the gorgeous tropical fish and the playful antics of the sea lions are indeed a treat for anyone’s eyes and hearts. But these movies also carry with them messages of awareness about serious environmental issues like global warming.

Besides the stunning 3D cinematography (which in itself would be sufficient to make watching this documentary an amazing experience), Under the Sea also features the talented narration of stars like Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet for the 2006 film and that of Jim Carrey for the 2009 follow up.

So if you have recently taken your child to watch Under the Sea and he/she has been mesmerized by the experience then why not take it a step further by throwing a party by this theme for him/her. It can make for an extremely fun learning experience for your child as well as all the little guests.

You could always hold your Under the Sea party at home, by the pool maybe, but a novel idea might be throw it at the local aquarium. That way you could include a tour of the exhibits into your itinerary to increase the educational value of the event. Believe me all your little guests will be thrilled with it.

Decorate the venue for your Under the Sea party with everything that relates to the ocean – sea shells, posters of sealife etc. Plan some activities around the them too like maybe some coloring books with picture of fish or playing a session of “passing the eel” (a version of hot potato where anyone who ends up with the eel when the music stops gets zapped and is eliminated.)
